Our Mission: Closter Coaches Association has a commitment to enriching the youth sports experience for "our children" of Closter. The association exists as an unincorporated organization of its members. Henceforth, the by-laws shall govern the association. Changes in the by-laws shall be made by ammendments to the by-laws as outlined in the by-laws document. In the event of a dispute not specifically outlined in the by-laws, Robert's Rules of Order will govern. The association shall be nonsectarian, nonpartisan, and noncommercial. Neither the name of the association, nor the names of any of its officers, in their official capacities, shall be used to promote any commercial or partisan interest.

Ways in which this is accomplished: Fostering individual and family participation in Closter recreation sponsored programs. Promoting a spirit of cooperation and common purpose among recreation coaches by providing them with support networks, channels of communication, educational tools and instruction so that their efforts on behalf of the children are mutually rewarding, satisfying and successful. Facilitating and fostering a positive working alliance among parents/guardians and recreation coaches to ensure the recreational experience of Closter children will enhance their growth, development and enthusiasm for sports. Providing recommendations and support to the Closter Recreation Commission and Recreation/Parks Director to improve the recreational experience of Closter youth.

Membership Membership to the Closter Coaches Association is open, but not limited to, all coaches of Closter Recreation Commission sanctioned activities, without regard to sex, race, color, religious belief or national origin. There are no dues required for membership.

Non-partisan organization: Closter Coaches Association, pursuant to its by-laws, is a non-partisan organization whose members are committed to the support and betterment of Closter Recreation Commission-sponsored programs and the children participating in these programs. This is the organization’s sole agenda. The CCA does not specifically endorse any one candidate running for public office. Strict adherence to this policy is part of the foundation of our organization. Politically motivated intentions have no place on a field or court for kids. We should let them play and not allow them to be used in a political strategy. As for the CCA organizational email contact list, this list is never distributed or used for political messages. All authorized messages are carefully drafted so as not to include identifiable recipient’s email addresses.
